Patient instructions

The discharge, instructions for continued treatment and eventual post-examination will be discussed with the staff. You will also be told who to contact if necessary. Bring it up well in advance if you are concerned about whether you will manage at home. Before leaving the hospital, tell the staff what certificates and other documents you need.

You can discuss with the staff about what means of transport you can use to leave the hospital. If your illness requires the use of a means of transport other than public transport, you will get the relevant certificates. If you are transferred to another hospital or health centre, the hospital will arrange and pay for the transfer.
